ABOUT NADINE TAYLOR
Previously, as co-founder of “Agitator”, my highly creative work involved product development, packaging design, advertising and retail promotion for clients that included international household names within the food industry and world renowned department stores. My own ice cream company, “The Licktators” was a wholesale and retail ice cream tub range, partnered by Yeo Valley, and sold through Ocado. Provocative campaigns and PR stunts were our trademark and they enabled our clients, and our own brands to reach worldwide audiences and generate millions of pounds of publicity, with minimal spend.
But it is the time I spent as the Campaign Director of Fathers4Justice (F4J), where my organisational and people skills were fully put to the test. On a day to day basis I was required to work with the press, police, public and politicians while also working as a McKenzie Friend with a heavy case load, which I later did alongside my own family law consultancy.
As someone who spent 10 years themselves, going through the family court process, I have the unique experience of being able to fully understand the practical as well as emotional aspect of the situation which helps me relate to all parties in proceedings. Over the years I have backed that experience up with qualifications including Diploma’s in Safeguarding, Children & Adults; Domestic Abuse & Violence Awareness; Family Crisis Management Support; Legal Advisor Training; Family Support Work and International Child Protection: Children's Rights in Theory and Practice.
In 2010, I negotiated on behalf of F4J with the Conservative and Liberal Democrat Party’s, before and after the General Election, regarding family law reform. Meeting both the Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy PM, Nick Clegg and former Leader of the Conservative Party and reformer, Ian Duncan-Smith, in the course of discussions. Between 2010 and 2014 I briefed numerous MP’s and external working groups, such as the Centre for Social Justice, on the issue of Shared Parenting.
It was a chance meeting with Nigel Farage in 2011 that lead me to work with his then party, UKIP, drafting Children and Family Policy for their Manifesto. Former Respect MP George Galloway also showed his support for Shared Parenting, when he hosted an event in Parliament in June 2013 and I was one of speakers who addressed an audience of over 70 fathers & MPs.
In 2018 I addressed members of the House of Lords on Shared Parenting and drafted questions for the Chamber.
In January 2023 I advised the Reform Party on family law and justice policy for their manifesto.
This campaign work, along with my design, marketing and PR career, has lead me to offer consultancy services to those setting up new campaigns, those wishing to bring new direction to existing campaigns and those wishing to take up the baton of advocacy for fathers, men and boys, in their own country.
I continue to be an outspoken advocate for family law reform, taking on speaking engagements at colleges and universities, appearing on TV and Radio as a commentator and writing articles on the subject, on an international platform.
As a writer I have written numerous comment pieces for national newspapers on subjects relating to family law, in both my own name and as a ghost writer.
